Vote for Your Favorite Poster

The Long Day’s Journey into Night team is deep into its design process. They use drawings and models of sets, lights, costumes and props to help them come to agreement on how this production will look. Director Susan Padveen is in rehearsals with the actors as they bring the words to life. And we have one part of the design process with which we’d love your help. Take a look at the poster designs below and vote for your favorite. There’s a link to the poll at the bottom of the page. We also welcome your comments on this blog page to give us your thoughts.

I vote for the last one. Only announces the basics without giving away anything about the cast. Also fits the dark nature of the story and the title of the play with the ocean serving as a reminder of how truly long and endless family dynamics can be.
I look forward to being in Chicago while it’s running and catching a show. I’ll keep you updated, Richard, so we can get together for a brew or two.
Many broken legs and much love to all!

  4. James B. Salla says:

I think the fourth is the best choice too. It seems more ominous and interesting.

  5. KMB says:

I vote for the fourth option, without photos. It’s lends more intrigue to the production. I find it much more compelling.

  6. I love your website! did you create this yourself or did you outsource it? Im looking for a blog design thats similar so thats the only reason I’m asking. Either way keep up the nice work I was impressed with your content really..
